Vitrine Lab Seventh Edition

WHAT IS VITRINE LAB?

Vitrine Lab is a free course on film distribution, featuring two theoretical modules: "Curation and Business Strategy" and "Theatrical Release". There will be 10 online sessions taking place between October and November 2026, from October 23rd to November 16th on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

WHO IS VITRINE LAB FOR?

Students and professionals who are interested in working in the field, with or without experience in film distribution; as well as those seeking specific knowledge in areas related to their main practice, such as producers, directors, and even screenwriters. Any person over 18 (eighteen) years of age and residing in the national territory may apply for Vitrine Lab vacancies.

WHAT IS THE COURSE CURRICULUM?

The curriculum will be made available soon on the Vitrine Lab website.

WHAT IS THE LABORATORY'S APPROACH?

Vitrine Lab will feature two theoretical modules, the first focused on curation and strategy and the second focused on theatrical releases in Brazilian territory. The opening class will be open to the public and held through the Projeto Paradiso YouTube channel.

Over ten sessions, topics related to the value chain of the film industry, public policies, business, creative and executive distribution practices will be addressed, including curation, planning and campaign strategy, film release, programming, exhibition circuit and the execution of a film's marketing campaign across all its stages.

The classes will be mediated by professionals working in the market, including members of the Vitrine team and guest speakers. The class schedule was developed with the objective of fostering strategic and market-oriented thinking among professionals, aiming to provide an overview of the entire film distribution chain.

WHEN DO CLASSES TAKE PLACE?

Classes take place online, through the Zoom platform, between October and November 2026, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Note: The class schedule may be changed at Vitrine Filmes' discretion for the better performance of the laboratory and availability of guest teachers.

WILL CLASSES BE RECORDED?

Yes. Classes will be taught live and, starting the day after the broadcast, the recording will be made available exclusively to participants via a private Vimeo link for 48 hours.

WHAT IS THE COST TO PARTICIPATE IN VITRINE LAB?

All spots for Vitrine Lab – Seventh Edition are free. Participants will be selected through a process conducted by the Vitrine Filmes team, as per the published call for applications.

HOW DOES THE REGISTRATION PROCESS WORK?

Registrations to apply for a spot at Vitrine Lab will take place from September 3rd, 2026 and will remain open until September 10th or until the limit of 600 (six hundred) registered people is reached. At the time of registration, the following texts and information will be requested:

  • Personal information;
  • Mini-bio (maximum 600 characters);
  • Resume (PDF, maximum 2 pages);
  • Letter of intent telling a little about your personal history and why you would like to participate in the laboratory (PDF, maximum 1 page);
  • Profile picture (JPEG or PNG, max 3 MB);
  • Declaration of gender, ethnicity and family income;
  • Proof of residence.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR VITRINE LAB - SEVENTH EDITION?

Any person residing in the national territory may apply for Vitrine Lab - Seventh Edition. To do so, it is necessary to fill out the registration form that will be available from 12:00 PM (GMT-3) on 09/03/2026 through the link: https://wkf.ms/4zsZyzj

With the objective of democratizing access to the course, Vitrine Filmes will seek a balance in the selection process. We encourage the registration and selection of professionals and students belonging to minority groups, such as Black people, Indigenous people, trans people and people with disabilities; mothers, single mothers and residents in regions outside the Rio - São Paulo axis (North, Northeast and Midwest), with or without experience in film distribution, but mandatorily having academic or professional experience in the audiovisual industry.

WHAT ARE THE SELECTION CRITERIA?

The selection of participants is carried out in stages, considering socioeconomic criteria and an evaluation of the two presentation documents of the candidate, the resume and the motivation letter. Registrations from professionals with varying levels of experience in the audiovisual industry are encouraged, with their motivation for taking the course and learning about film distribution made clear in the motivation letter document. Both documents must be entirely authored by the candidate, and the use of artificial intelligence is prohibited.

WHAT IS THE REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR VITRINE LAB - SEVENTH EDITION?

Vitrine Lab registrations start at 12:00 PM (GMT-3) on September 3rd, 2026, and close on September 10th at 11:59 PM or once we reach the number of 600 registered people. This information will be announced on Vitrine Filmes' social media. All registrations must be made through this form (https://wkf.ms/4zsZyzj). The announcement of the selection results will take place on or after October 9th, 2026.

IS A CERTIFICATE ISSUED?

Yes, at the end of the course, Vitrine Filmes will issue a certificate to participants who have had their attendance attested by the course organization in at least 80% of the classes and who submit the completed evaluation form at the end of the course.
